I forgot to add that I tried to buy some Ketostix from Boots...she looked at me like I was asking for crack cocaine. Have now ordered them off the internet - the keyboard didn't bat an eyelid..
Don't cry over half a yorkie for God's sake!! I know how hard it is to stick to this diet and I'm pretty sure that everyone will slip up at one time or another. The important thing is acknowledging it and recognising that it's only you who you're hurting. It's not the worst thing in the world and prob won't make much difference at the weigh in (this time!!) but each slip makes it harder to withstand temptation next time!!
If you have to put something in your mouth try and make it something not very nice and only a tiny amount! That way it is less pleasurable. Also, carbs are not the best thing to slip on!
But - don't fret, we're only human and this diet is a long process. It will get easier. What have you learned? That you need to keep away from accessible tasty food - could it have been put away quicker? Could you have kept out of the way of the meal altogether?? There's always something positive you can take from every slip.
Well done for 'fessing up - you're recognising it for what it is and can move on, stonger next time!
Keep it up chuck!

PS - yes, it's bizarre about the ketostix thing at Boots - who appointed them as the Diet Police??
thanks Lesley - I do feel crappy about it but I can definitely learn from it. I will get Dean to chuck all leftovers in the bin before I wash up (or even better, get HIM to wash up ;-) ). I've just been to a bigger branch of Boots in Leeds and got a box of ketostix so I can test next time I have a wee - won't be long then! I also stupidly forgot to pack my sports bra in my gym kit so plumped (ha!) for a brisk walk around town instead.
You will probably never cheat again!! because each time you think about that little mouthful you will remember how bad you feel now. I am certain that the little Yorkie will have no consequence on your weigh in!! no where you are coming from with the ketostix I had exact same problem - reference the willpower? I know it is there I gave up smoking I just need to crack on have my support, my blog pals and of course my water!
Karen I can only second, third and fourth what's been said before - it was only a bit of yorkshire pud (not 2 complete with roast beef and veg which is more likely to happen to me) --- I very much doubt it will affect your weigh in. You've now just got to put it in the past and not be tempted again as you now know that the food only lasts a minute but the guilt lasts too long :)
Just beginning to find my way round all the different LL blogs. When my husband is cooking, he immediately puts washing up liquid on anything tempting. Today was really hard - I was tempted but once it has been covered with Fairy Liquid (or whatever), you just know you can't touch it!
As everyone says, don't worry about the yorkie; in the great scheme of things it really won't matter. It's only if the yorkie becomes a habit. What matters is that you learn from it.
I'm learning that tiredness tests my willpower to the limit so can't let myself get overtired.
I'm a 34 year old Yorkshire lass who lives in Pontefract with my partner of 18 months and my daughter from a previous relationship. I've lived away from Yorkshire for years and only moved back about 2.5 years ago - I wish I'd never left!
Oh..and the reason I'm writing this blog is because I'm a fatty who is starting her journey to become a thinny!

Hi,
just discoved your BLOG, so will add to my list of favourites if thats ok.
I agree don't worry about the pudding, what's done is done and I am sure you will get away with it this time.
I wonder if you can get your family to scrap the plate before you wash up? and remove any extras?
I am only one crooked thought away from a piece of cheese!
Well Done for moving on, and make sure you are proud of your weight loss, one Yorkie pud does not mean you have failed.
Take Care
Sam

Hello
Just beginning to find my way round all the different LL blogs. When my husband is cooking, he immediately puts washing up liquid on anything tempting. Today was really hard - I was tempted but once it has been covered with Fairy Liquid (or whatever), you just know you can't touch it!

Sorry, I've probably rambled.
Keep up with the great job you're doing.
